Everyone has a belief and everyone wants individuality.
Everyone wants to believe in their religion of choice but also, wants to be able to express themselves as an individual. Why not both?
Religion is not who you are but what you believe in. My idea is to break the barrier between religious stereotypes and you, the individual who has been questioned about their beliefs. Whether from your parents, peers, strangers and even religious teachers, we all have been questioned at some time about our belief.
For example, if i were gay, would that make me go against my religious beliefs because i am a christian or catholic, but i still believe in my religion and practice my religious beliefs? No. Have you ever been curious about another religion and been looked at as if you were going against your own religion? We all have. Lets say you never practice your religion but within yourself you know what you believe in, so you go about your life being yourself. Whether you are that person who has a profession in being a doctor, lawyer or even president, to the people on the streets with no home or job.
I bring this to attention because in this era of time we all need something to believe in, but we don’t need anyone questioning our beliefs. I am a Latin American, who was born as a catholic. I have been questioned on my belief for many reasons. From the clothes i wear, music i listen to, food that i eat, people i have dated, places i have been. We all can relate.
Express your religious encounters between people who have questioned you on your belief. Together we can break the barrier of all religious stereotypes. Whether your religion, race, appearance, personality and actions.
We all believe in something.
